About

Hello and welcome to Dia De Los Perros, an organization dedicated to making life better for people and their pets.
My name is Lola Crane, and I’m the CEO of Dia De Los Perros. I started this initiative in 2012 through my business, Green Dog Kennels, to raise funds for spaying and neutering pets in San Antonio, Texas.
My journey with animals began long before that. I was born into a pack of dogs—literally. My grandpa had 13 rescue dogs who were my very first friends. To say that dogs and cats shaped the course of my life is an understatement. For that, I am forever grateful.
In 2006, my husband and I opened a doggie daycare and boarding facility in San Antonio. At Green Dog Kennels, I helped introduce the concept of daycare and socialized play as a service to the community. I worked hard and quickly realized that working with dogs filled me with purpose. Guided by the principles of integrity, honesty, and compassion, I built the business slowly and intentionally.
Working with people and their pets is not just what I love—it’s where I believe I can make a real difference.
Now, I’m expanding that love and enthusiasm through Dia De Los Perros, a space to share the joy of pet ownership and raise funds for vital spay and neuter projects. This next chapter includes a brick-and-mortar store and a community hub, where I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned over the past 20 years of living and working with dogs.
I’ll curate and offer products and tips that I personally use with my own fur babies. At Green Dog Kennels, I refused to sell or promote anything I wouldn’t use myself, and that same standard holds true here. My pack has been blessed with long, healthy lives—thanks in large part to mindful care, proper nutrition, and lots of love. Through DDLP, I’ll share the resources and insights that have helped us thrive, with the goal of raising the quality of life for pets—and the people who love them.
I’m thrilled to share this journey with Alyssa and Lara, who not only share my vision and passion but also my guiding principles. They’re both incredibly hardworking and kind.
Lara, our CFO, is the numbers guru and our designated adult—she and I have been friends for over 30 years.
Alyssa, our COO, and I worked together for years at Green Dog Kennels, where she served as manager. She truly understands the ins and outs of pet care and will ensure that the resources we offer are accessible and reliable.
Thank you for visiting our page. We are so excited for this next adventure and would be honored to help make your pets’ lives healthier, fuller, and more fun.
